Managing Your Inroads

I have found out something about myself in recent months.  Frustration yields anger for me.  One road leads to the other most definitely.

I'm not talking about being overwhelmed or afraid or a plethora of other emotions. Specifically here, I am talking about frustration.  As I build and expand my business I have noticed on days less-than-goal-reaching, I have been really frustrated.

Sometimes frustration comes because we see the "big picture" goal in front of us, often viewing the end result we want (the end of the rainbow!), rather than where we are as being okay for now as we build. Walking upon the road of our destiny and purpose can be and often is slippery as we learn to navigate, gain traction and find a good daily momentum toward accomplishing.

Here are some things that I personally must be aware of and navigate to ward off potential frustration:

• When my goals and timeline aren't in sync

• When I hit a road block

• When my goal seems eons away

• When delay seems to outshine effective progress

Any of these have frustration-yielding potential.  Unresolved, they yield anger. Knowing that has helped me to see more clearly "my pattern" of operation. So, then, I can deal with my frustration levels and avoid anger.  Even better, is to find solutions to the above. I've heard it said, "When you are blocked one way, just find another way to go."  Sounds good to me.

Nothing is final until it's final. Edit, delete, back up and try another road. Take a break. Work on something else. Or, stick with it and resolve through to the outcome of success! Trouble shoot and problem solve until the problem is solved.
